Q : Why did you decide to work in Hair Quest?
A : From my previous experience dealing with customers, I have always been questioning the way that traditional hair salons rush their services while keeping other customers waiting just for their own convenience. Hair Quest appeared to be an ideal workplace to me, as I heard that hair stylists are able to provide one-on-one service to customers.
At the same time, I also felt that I was having a poor work-life balance in my previous job. Therefore, I decided to work in a company with reasonably shorter working hours.
Q : Is there anything you want to share about working in Hair Quest?
A : After I started working here, I began to have more time and effort to serve my customers. I also managed to maintain work-life balance, so that I can easily switch on and off between my work and personal life.
Q : What are your thoughts on working in a hair salon that provides service on a one-on-one basis?
A : I really enjoy being able to serve 1 customer at a time, as it allows me to easily listen and understand my customer's needs, so that I can concentrate on providing quality service. Also, it is always a satisfying experience to have the same person handling every step from shampooing to finishing for the entire service.
Q : What are the common types of customers in Hair Quest?
A : Most of our customers are nice and friendly. There are customers who come with specific needs and want to seek our professional advice too.

A : This is the perfect place where you can take good care of yourself and your customers.
Daily Routine

Arrive office・Cleaning・Prepare to open
Clean the salon and prepare to open for the day. There is no morning assembly.

Open for business
Serve customers according to their time of appointment. You can focus on your customers entirely.

Lunch break
Lunch time and duration are flexible depending on your appointment schedule. Feel free to grab a coffee, chat with other colleagues, and be yourself. If you need some quiet time to be alone, our staff room is always there for you.
18:00
Cleaning before leave
Staff who do not have any customer’s appointment at 19:00 are free to leave by this time. Just make sure you clean your own space at the staff room before you leave.

Get off work・Close
Everyone should be returning home by 19:00 at the latest. We usually expect to leave on time at 18:00, so that we can have dinner at home and spend time with our family. Once again we appreciate your hard work for the day!
Job Description
Daily number of customers
It is common for each hair stylist to have 2 to 3 customers on weekdays, and 3 to 5 customers on weekends.
Sales Quota
In Hair Quest, there is no sales quota of any kind. However if your annual sales are exceptionally low, we will need to review your performance together and evaluate what kind of support we can provide to you. Since it is also prohibited in Hair Quest to sell any products to customers, we will never force our staff to ask customers to purchase any product from us.
Customer service, Skills and techniques
In Hair Quest, we have an instruction handbook about customer service and consultation. If you have experience working as a hair stylist before, you should be able to pick up very easily. There is also another instruction handbook for required skills and techniques. All the instructions in both handbooks are supposed to be learnt in a month, so there is no need to stress even if you plan to return to work from a break.

Q : What are the common types of customers in Hair Quest?
A : We have a lot of customers above 30 years old who are nice and friendly. Since there are quite a number of customers who are interested in anti-aging, they would love to have a hair stylist who is in the same generation as them.
Q : Is there any meeting or training session?
A : There won’t be any meaningless meeting. We will share important information in the WhatsApp group if necessary. Training sessions will only be held during working hours when there is a new release service or item. Any activities that occur outside of working hours will be compensated with hourly wage. We will not take away personal time from our employees.
Q : My child is still pretty small, would it be possible to make adjustments to my working schedule?
A : Definitely. Working part time is also an option, so it is possible to start working part time and switch to full time whenever you feel ready. We can further discuss the number of working days and hours to make it work for you.
Q : Please tell me about the salary increment in Hair Quest
A : In Hair Quest, commissions will be rewarded to hair stylists based on their sales performance. In addition, we also have a flexible salary package for hair stylists whose sales amounts are consistent. Please contact us to discuss for more details.
